Step 1:
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and warm water when you wake up in the morning and at night just before bed.
Don鈥檛 use harsh scrubs on acne鈥攊t will only irritate and inflame the acne.
Step 2:
Gently pat your face dry with a towel鈥攄on鈥檛 rub, or you can extract too much moisture from your face.
Be careful not to wash your face too much, which can irritate your skin. If you have oily skin, try blotting it with a clean tissue instead.
Step 3:
Apply a topical acne medication, either one prescribed by your dermatologist or an over-the-counter cream, lotion, or gel containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
Benzoyl peroxide reduces a certain kind of bacteria on the skin and salicylic acid helps unclog pores by correcting abnormal skin cell shedding, so one might work better for you than the other.
Step 4:
Use Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and clean your face. This wipes all the dirt off your face/chest/back. This will get rid of the redness of pimples and lower the size.
Step 5:
Protect your skin with a non-comedogenic sunscreen and avoid excess exposure to sunlight. This is always important, but it is especially critical when you鈥檙e using topical or internal acne medication, which increases skin鈥檚 photosensitivity.
Step 6:
Use only non-comedogenic, water-based cosmetics that are oil-free. There are moisturizers and makeup formulated for acne-prone skin.
Step 7:
If you shave, do so carefully and sparingly. Shaving can easily irritate sensitive skin, so only shave when it is necessary and only in one direction.
Some shaving creams on the market contain benzoyl peroxide, so check the label.
Step 8:
Don鈥檛 squeeze, pop, or pinch acne. It can cause further inflammation and even permanent scarring.
Step 9:
Avoid actions that cause repetitive or prolonged contact with the affected area, like holding a phone against your face, wearing sports equipment, or resting your chin on your hand.
Step 10:
Keep your hair clean and out of your face. The natural oils in hair can contribute to acne, as can hair products that contain oil.

acne washes are a waste of money, you must have a clean sink. you need a product that has contact with your skin throughout the day, acne washes just rinse your money down the drain. the three main acne treatments otc are benzoyl peroxide/persa gel clean n clear 10%, good for blackheads, drying/bleaching agent. salicylic acid, 2 or2.5% drying agent, weak..aka as Aspirin in the tablet form, and sulfur meds, clearasil had this, hard to find. doesn't matter if you buy generic or neutrogena or olay or whatever. check the ingredients on side of box , some are a bit stronger than others, but,that's all that's out there. same for cold meds, check ingredients,
Rx meds for acne are now combining retin a and benzoyl peroxide or combo products w antibiotics in them dermatologists have these meds or samples. Also, BCP, Retin A, tetracylcine,Cleocin or topical or oral antibiotics for about 6 mo or more will control acne. for severe acne, def see doc, there are different forms, some are cystic acne, some causes scarring/pock mark scars, laser or chem peels when acne calms down and you are older and can afford laser/peels. Spironolactone can control acne in adult women, suppress testosterone levels or women w PCOS. don' t use liquid makeups, bacteria. don't use deodorant , perfumed, antibacterial or triclosan soaps on face. only use mild soap, dove or cetaphil types. ideally, should use acne products on face in am and before bed, and wash hands if picking it. face washes useless.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give
it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who

There is no face wash that will rid you of acne. Acne comes from within, the painful red eruptions on your face is the end result of a medical problem under the skin. The ONLY way to overcome acne is through prescription medicine, ie; Tetracycline and Retin-A.

i havent tried this, but you could use Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Acne Wash. lots of magazines and beauty reviews says that is the best or is really good. it costs about $8 at stores like walmart or cvs.
