My skin isn't really oily. But, my acne doesn't clear up, no matter what kind of over the counter products I try! Please sharre any useful home remedies you useWhat is the best home remedy (face wash, masque) to get rid of acne?
Try soap and water, vigorously applied with a washcloth at least twice a day. In addition change your diet. Avoid refined sugars and starches. Eat as many FRESH fruits and vegetables as possible, and do not smoke. Your complexion should improve dramatically within thirty days. If it does not, then see a dermatologist. There is no magic potion that can change you overnight. If you are in a great hurry to improve your skin, stop wasting your time looking for one. Sooner or later you will have to do what really works. What is the best home remedy (face wash, masque) to get rid of acne?
Okay, so I have a great skincare regime that totally works. My cousin had the WORST acne, she tried my regime and she has such smooth skin now. So, if you have any bath oils (not cooking oil) then poor in bathtub and soak for about 30 minutes w/ bubbles bath, or all those personal affects, music, whatev just so u can relax. Once you get out of the shower, I recommend Nutrogena Acne Free wash or something along the lines of that, but before, use cold water to open your pore. (Sorry my writing is confusing, in a hurry) . To remove the wash, use water and rinse, then wash your face with soap after that. Put on lotion and then rinse face with warm water to close pores. Then apply makeup and whatever you want to use. Trust me, I have really great skin. Not to brag, but my system really does work. Try it out!
prevent it. You can't spot clean because it doesn't work. Get the wash. Get the lotion, get the spot remover.
There are 3 different types of acne fighting ingredients:
Salysitic Acid (spelled wrong)
Benzoic Peroxide
And a Sulfur containing one. Treat with all three, then if nothing go to dermatologist.
use toothpaste on the pimple or put lemon juice on the pimple, in the morning it becomes smaller
Here what I use, and I've been so fortunate with my skin:
Get some exfoliating cleanser. I use stuff called SNAP. It's in the vitamin section at Wal-Mart and it's in a big white tube with teal lettering, and has Tea-Tree extract in it. Use this every second or third day. Wet your face, put it on and scrub gently for a minute or so. Let it sit for just a little bit, and use a warm washcloth to wash it off. Rinse your face after to make sure you got all the little bits of sand off. DON'T GET IT IN YOUR EYES! It scratches something fiercee...
Get some cleanser. I use Cetaphil, and Wal-Mart has the Equate version, which is the exact same thing, but maybe half the price. Use a soft washcloth to apply this cleanser. Again, wash for a minute or so. Use this everyday. If you can, use it morning and evening. But, at least once. If you don't have the time for two cleansings a day, at least wash your face with plain warm water on a washcloth.
Get a good oil-free moisturizer. Neutrogena Moisture Oil-Free for sensitive skin is really nice. Can't really go wrong with Oil of Olay, either... Put this on after you've cleansed and patted dry your face. Use it twice a day, as well. Make sure that any moisturizer you use is 100% oil-free, won't clog pores, and hypoallergenic. The package will have all this on it somewhere.
Good Luck!
You can use many products in your own kitchen that are natural and safe to use. Some of them include eggs, honey, oatmeal, extra virgin oil, lemons, etc. But here is a really good (and inexpensive) remedy you may want to try:
Take a whisked egg white and rub it over your face. You can leave it on for 15 minutes or sleep with it on. I recommend sleeping with it because the results are so much better! In the morning do your normal clease, tone, and moisturize! The egg white tightens your skin and leaves your skin soft and smooth. This isn't going to happen overnight (would be great if it did!) but you will definitely see results if you are consistent! If you have acne scars/blemishes use 100% cocoa butter or Vitamin E oil to ';fade'; away the scars.
***Also, remember to:
*Drink plenty of water!
*Keep your hands out of your face!
*Cut back on sugary, greasy, and fatty foods as well as sodas!
*Leave your pimples alone! Do not pop, poke, or pinch them...it's better to leave them alone and let them go away on their own than to wake up with an acne scar/blemish.
*Cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face at least 2 times a day.
*Stay stress-free!
***HOPE THIS HELPS!***
